THIS POST IS FOR YOU, DIANA

I feel like running away to Baja, Mexico today. The weather is turning a bit cooler...actually, it looks like it might rain today, and I need a break from Southern California. If I got into my car now, I'd be there by dinner. These thoughts are going around in my head.

I'm suffering for oysters. I'm suffering for a nighttime coffee and looking out over a busy street. I have spent some of the best moments of my lifetime in Mexico. Something about that place...it is a part of me.

Well, tomorrow is Monday and back to work for me. But I think I'm going to pretend I'll get a break soon and be able to go down to Baja and spend a couple days there...(sigh) maybe it could happen...just gotta make some time...

I have never had oysters before. I love baja, the lazy days walking the beach.

Gross. I'm sorry. Those oysters would make me gag if they were in front of me.

And the cappucino looks great, but the ash tray would make me gag too. Sorry.

I feel ya on the break thing. I want to get away somewhere warm too. For a week. Just lounge around and do nothing! (By the way, we are hitting the 30s already!) Guess I'll just have to rest in Him until my turn is up!

Happy - give oysters a try sometime!

Shenna - you crack me up! Oysters are certainly an "acquired" taste! I suppose the lime and hot sauce help! And I am laughing about the ashtray comment...true...true...I noticed it but decided the photo HAD to be posted for full effect! haha!

Hello Lone Beader - Maybe I am just dreaming about going now that Summer is over. Something about wanting what isn't practical!!

Oh, and the best cappucino I've ever had is served at the São Paulo airport, another reason for you to come!

Oysters, not for me. But running away sounds good! I love your site. You are so creative. We're looking forward to our Rwandan missionary visitor on November 5. Come and visit in Colorado! It's colder than California or Mexico (see my blog today), but beautiful!

Who knew oysters would be so controversial?

Wait until I post photos of octopus sushi! A favorite of mine and my son's!!

Thank you all for your light-hearted comments! I will not be running away anytime soon but when I do, you're all invited!

Dawn - I am originally from Colorado. When I make it back there, I'll look you up!

Well I've eaten oysters, drank cappucino, been to Mexico, smoked, eaten octopus and squid...but I have never sat in a restuarant just watching traffic...how unusual..I'm a people watcher myself.
