PRAISING GOD FOR PANCAKES
(there...I said it...)

The last few weeks have been just crazy but one of my gal friends and I took off to Lake Tahoe for the weekend for a 3 day mini vacation. Had me a short stack at Grandma Hatties just outside of Carson City. Mmmmm.

Funny how pancakes, a cup of coffee and time with a good friend can melt your worries away.

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. --Philippians 4:6-7

Pancakes. Without a doubt: God inspired.

Praise God for Ice Cream! Who would have thunk so long ago that that stuff that comes out of a cow, if frozen and churned, with a little bit of vanilla and a lot of love would have become such an amazing treat. Sounds like a God receipe to me :)

40 days of Praise...
I congratulate you on your stand for Christ and praise to Him. Your life story is a great testimony for our Lord and his redemptive power!

JUNE 15

BIBLE MEDITATION:
“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Do you know what Lamentations 3:22-23 means? It means that God never runs out of compassion. Have you ever gone to Niagara Falls and watched the water rampaging with torrential force? I’ve thought, Surely the water is one day going to dry up. But, it hasn’t. Friend, greater than Niagara is the compassion of the Lord. His compassions fail not. In 1923, Thomas O. Chisholm wrote one of the greatest hymns of all time and this stanza is the refrain of this truth, “Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.”

ACTION POINT:
Listen to the song “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” at the CyberHymnal. There you can listen to the music, sing along, and meditate upon its great truths.

Danielle.. just finally looked at your 40 days of praise blogging tonight.. it inspired me to write a poem. The last 4 months have been some of the most difficult of my life, but God has sought me through so I wanted to share my poem of praise to Jesus.. IN JESUS' ARMS... Lord, I know in this place, I am safe. Here with You, I know there is truth. You pick me up and hold me close, wiping away the tears that streak down my face. In You I've found a comfort so peaceful, so strong; a gentle forgiveness for all of my wrongs. And as I climb mountains so strenuous in this life, You've promised to always be right by my side. Thankyou precious Jesus for all you do for me, without Your unfailing love, where would I be? AMEN.
Thanks for doing 40 days of praise Danielle.. helps me to see where I can praise God more in my own life!
