PRAISING GOD FOR THE APOSTLE PAUL

There is so much to say about Paul, I hardly know where to begin. Paul is perhaps my most favorite person in the Bible, aside from Jesus Christ. Paul is the one with whom I most identify. Paul was a Jew's Jew, friend to the Gentile, wise, daring, straight-forward and loved God with all his heart. I especially love II Corinthians where Paul is just fed up with these people and he begins to really pour his passion and heart out to them...he cares enough about God to be a fool for God. And I think I am also a fool for God. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Thank you, Lord for changing Saul's heart! Thank you, Lord for changing my own!

Paul is totally cool. But I am reading through Romans right now... and I have to say he is really confusing me :) I praise God for sending the Holy Spirit to straighten me out on all these words, concepts, and ideas that Paul so freely gives. I love Paul's heart towards his race, his compassion for the Jews, yet his willingness to step out and be that light to a new people.

Side Note:
You know, I saw a prayer request from a ministry in Hollywood yesterday where a lady was praying for Tom Cruise to have a Damascus road experience. She said, "I heard our pastor talking about the apostle Paul. He described him as the greatest human enemy of the new church and of Christ. It made me realize if Jesus could appear to Paul in the midst of his reign of terror on believers, he could certainly do that with Tom Cruise." Just thought that was intersting. And since you were thanking God for Paul today and I saw this yesterday... I wanted to share :)

Thanks for this.....there has been some discussion about Paul ...and I see him always pointing us to Christ......getting humbler and humbler as his ministry, his years went on.....

Paul gets a bad rap especially over issues but Romans quite possibly is the best piece of literature ever produced. Especially Rom. 16 where he talks about these wonderful women who are co-workers in the Lord. And the fact that he entrusted this letter to a woman to deliver it. Thanks for your praise.

Tina - wow...I did not know about Tom Cruise. I will also begin praying for him.

BJK - I don't know why Paul is so controversial but maybe that's why he's my favorite!

Happy - I am in complete agreement!
